Keith H. Gibbs, 78, Crawfordsville died at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday in St. Clare Medical Center. Mr. Gibbs was a retired self-employed carpenter and had been manager of the Brooklyn (Ind) Brick Co and manager of Am Vet Co., Crawfordsville. His memberships included Hazelwood Baptist Church and he attended New Market Christian Church. He was a 1941 Pittsboro HS graduate. He was born Nov 4, 1923 in Morgan County to William and Cleo Mosier Gibbs. He married Violet Rike Sept 21, 1943 at Martinsville. She survives.
Survivors include four daughters, Sandy Halford, Waynetown; Peggy Osborne, Mace; Connie Beverly, Crawfordsville and Nita Harrison, New Market; a son, Keith Jr, Crawfordsville; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A daughter, Vicki Fuller, two brothers, two sisters and one grandchild are deceased.
Cremation is scheduled. There will be a committal service following cremation at 1 p.m. Saturday in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with Rev. George Dosher officiating. There will be no calling, Powers, Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville is in charge of arrangements. - kbz
